"I first saw this on David Blaine's special, Dive of Death and then had to wait a few months for it to finally be released on DVD. One of my favorite places to perform at is at my local pool hall, and I have always wanted to perform an effect using a dart board. So I finally received this and I was utterly amazed at the simplicity of this effect, and because of its simplicity it received screaming responses and people running all around the entire pool hall, much like the spectators David performed for.

Even though I rarely, if ever repeat a trick twice in one day/night but I just had to perform this again because people at the bar heard all the commotion and even the cooks in the backroom came out and watched me perform the effect a second time. And I swear I thought the entire building was going to collapse from the sheer excitement of people running and screaming, grabbing at the darts, the signed card and even my deck!

Two performances was enough that night, and I had to let the place cool down for a couple weeks before performing the effect again since I kept getting more and more requests to do it again. So anyone reading this and are still unsure if this effect will either fit your personal style or any other reason, I strongly suggest resisting the urge to pass this trick by, because almost everyone loves to play darts and to see a magician have a random spectator select a card, sign it and then toss the deck into the air and throw a dart through the cards and have it pinned to the dart board, will ALWAYS get the most insane reactions and the simplicity of this effect also increases the reactions from all the spectators who will watch you perform a truly amazing piece of card magic. So definitely add this to your cart and add it to your performance as well, and I can almost guarantee you will bring the house down with utterly insane reactions! So I have been fascinated with magic since I was litlle. When I was in Middle School, there was a magic shop (J&B Magic) where I fell in love with the art. The owner happened to be Brent Braun. For those of you who do not know Brent Braun, He has created many brilliant tricks such as Torched and Restored, This, That, and the Other, etc. Brent is a amazing magician and has a brilliant mind. We met for lunch and now he will be taking me on as his student. I've always been able to get good reactions from my tricks, but there was something missing. I just recently got back into the art, and I realized I needed to get back to the basics. I had bought a book from him years ago when the shop was still opened. Practical Mental Magic by Theodore Annemann. In it is says..."It is my theory that any effect to be successful must first be founded upon a simple method, and then be preformed with a direct, to-the-point presentation. It is my contention that the moment one deviates from this straight line, he is not doing what a genuine magician or mind reader would do." Before I end this I would like to say something to the beginners out there. Remember, the spectator is not in the same mind frame as yourself. Dont be afraid of clean up's and such. Just practice and perform. -The Culprit

So in using this tool I developed a cool method of using this as a peak device. When you are ready to perform you secretly call a friend and setup a FaceTime chat. Then place the Iphone face down on the table. He will be able to see anything that you put in front of the camera. Now you have some one pick a card draw something or write down the name of a loved one who died in a horrific accident. You the have them turn it face down and hand it to you. You then casually hold it over the phone and your secret assistant is able to peak the item and know what it is. There are several ways for him to communicate the item to you. He can disconnect from the FaceTime chat and then send you a text message telling you what he saw, or he can replicate the drawing on a piece of paper and hold it up in front of his camera. Now at some point you casually pick up you phone and put it away while glimpsing either the text message or the paper being held in front the camera. The future is here and we are living in it.

This is a life lesson I think about every time I think I know the answer. Have I rolled up my sleeves and tasted the dirt? The solution is only 10% of solving the problem; the other 90% is just plain old fashioned hard work.
